Vanilla-Trade was created with the objective of bringing Mexican vanilla, the original, to a firm position within the world market. We are a leading socially responsible company in Mexico and committed to the sustainable development of vanilla through the promotion and support of producers.
We have our own vanilla plantations and we participate in the creation of small farmers' cooperatives, in the increase of national vanilla production, in the dissemination of vanilla cultivation in different local communities, the propagation of organic agriculture, the concern for the environment and equitable distribution. Vanilla-Trade is a company that has specialized in the promotion of gourmet Mexican vanilla. The company was founded in 2005 and distributes, from Veracruz, high-quality vanilla from its original origin in Mexico.
Since 2009 Vanilla-Trade has partnered with farmers to optimize production and distribution and support the sustainable cultivation of vanilla by small farmers in the region. In 2011 Alfagama S.A. was created. of C.V. to be the mother company of the Vanilla-Trade and Kua Kama brands. Since 2019 we have started our own vanilla plantations mainly in the rainforest in an agroforestry cultivation with stake trees. The founders, the German Nadja Schumann and her Mexican partner José Manuel Rodríguez Nieto want to make gourmet Mexican vanilla - a food from Mexico, a world heritage site - available worldwide for connoisseurs, food specialists, lovers of food and manufacturers. At the same time, we also spread the cultivation of vanilla at a national level to a broader region and support farmers to help this spice native to Mexico not disappear.
